On March 20 My husband made a cash deposit of 1300.00 in our local BOA atm. The next day when I checked my account on-line the deposit was debited as a "non cash deposit".
When I called the bank the next day they told me that it was an empty envelope! My husband immediatley went to the bank branch and spoke to the manager. He started an investigation.
A complete background check was done on my husband, as well as checking back on our history with the bank since 1991. We have been making the same cash deposit every two wks for the last 9 yrs... I know, no lectures please on how stupid it is.
Anyway to make a long story short. A teller was fired and all the evidence is being forwarded to the local police. The thief had actually taken money out of more than one envelope that day! Needless to say my husband is getting direct deposit...
Believe me they have security in place that even the manager of the bank is not privey to... If there is a thief working in the bank they want to know as bad as you do. If this ever happens to you stick to your guns and haunt the bank manager!!!
