When RBMG took over my servicing, they put someone elses name on the account. I informed them of the error promptly (Feb). Little did I know that they had that individual's insurance information on my account also!
In late July or early August I found RBMG mortgage company had removed $413 from my escrow account and paid someone elses hazard insurance. When I called them, the customer service people said I would have to wait for them to get the money back. I then faxed a letter to them (Aug 2) asking them to correct the mistake.in the meantime they had sold the servicing of the loan to First Nationwide (effective Aug 1). I also faxed the letter to First Nationwide's customer service.in mid-August I faxed a letter to Milicent Mitchell at RBMG. She called and promised to correct the problem. I received a follow up letter from RBMG stating that the money would be paid to my escrow by August 29.in mid September I again called M. Mitchell to let her know that I did not have my money yet and it was over due. She returned my call promptly and was polite and again promised to look into it.
In late September I filed a complaint with the BBB as I still had not received my money. I also in the complaint requested compensation of $125 ($25 per contact) for the additional letters, and emails sent to them at First Nationwide. Around Oct 21 I received a note from the BBB that their response was "We will research this problem..." I faxed a response that this was unsatisfactory. I wanted a check, not promises. On Oct 31 I filed a complaint with HUD.
