I paid this collection agency $330 a few months ago. Now I get another one calling up saying I owe Sprint $355. Why? They don't know. I called Sprint Customer Service. They said what happened is, I paid the $330 to First Revenue Assurance, and First Revenue Assurance sent Sprint a bad check which bounced. Because of that they are re-charging ME the money and adding a late fee.
So, in essence I will be paying twice, plus a late fee, just so they don't ruin my credit rating. Sprint told me I should call First Revenue Assurance and find out what is up with them. First, that is not my responsibility. But, it is my credit rating I am hoping to protect, so I called them. Guess what? They hang up on me every single time.
This company is completely disreputable and I have no idea why Sprint continues to do business with them. Then again, in my experience, Sprint is not all that reputable either.
