In September I paid off my 5/3 credit card by accepting a "special" deal, lessening my debt by $2100.00.in March of I went to my credit union to get a loan and was told that my credit is in the "D" range due to my debt owed to Fifth Third Bank. It was then that I realized that Fifth Thid had never "released" me of my debt of 2100.00 and has left it on my credit report, dated 1.
When I try to contact Fifth Third, I am transferred more times than I can count, I am told no one can help me at the branch, not to mention the 6 imes I had to call back due to being "accidentally disconnected". The only bit of help I received was a customer service rep telling me that she can transfer me to TransUnion to talk to some one there. However, when I was transferred, the only options I received were automatic & informed me how to get a free credit report.
I then called the customer service rep back to let her know that the extension was wrong and was told that it was the only one she had and she was sorry. So now, I am stuck with a (LARGE) negetive on my credit report and no one to talk to about how to get it fixed. I feel I am out of options.
