Comerica Bank in Detroit, charges non-customers $5.00 to cash checks drawn on Comerica Bank. This is absurd considering that this checks are written by Comerica account holders. This is part of the reason they have been loosing customers to other better run banks besides the fact that Comerica customer services suck big time. It will not be long before they are taken over by more efficient Banks. Greed may serve myopic Corporations in the short run but inevitably lead to their demise.
