3W Marketing Titan Marketing Group Lying, Cheating, Robbing, Dishonesty

I made the mistake of actually giving up 4 months of my life to this company, 3W Marketing Inc. I was in need of a new job and saw the ad on Craig's List. An "entry-level position in the Sports and Entertainment field doing marketing for major clients"... Sounded like an exciting job to me! I called them regarding an interview and they set me up for the next day.

The first interview was oddly quick. They guy who interviewed me, Carlo, did all the talking with very little input from me except that I "thought it was something I could do." They told me they were interviewing about 40 people that day (it was 5pm at the time) and they would only choose the top 6. I got my call around 7pm and was ecstatic because working with clients such as the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Soul seemed exciting!

I went on my 2nd interview that Monday and was told to dress professional, wear comfortable shoes and to have my full day cleared until about 8pm. 8pm?!?! What the hell kind of interview was this?!?! I got there at 10 am, was introduced to the girl taking me out and we were on our way in very rainy weather. She told me a little about the company and asked me marketing questions in the car on the way to our first stop, which turned out to be the Deptford Mall. We were doing a campaign for Creations Day Spa.

We walked around the mall for a few hours with another girl going store to store trying to sell these cards. At lunch, they broke down the whole process and how you make your money... No less than $500 per week (tax free) at the first stage... Sounded pretty nice! Quick promotion... Very nice! The weather broke and we switched to door-to-door selling. I wasn't too into this part, but figured it the day was a little of both, it wouldn't really be a problem.

By 8pm, my feet were killing me and I was tired... However the girls were not finished and we were out in the "field" until 8:45. We got back to the office, I took my "test/questionnaire" and was offered the position, which I happily accepted. I was told to not show emotion in the lobby because Ii was probably going to be the only person out of the 3 there who was getting the job... Bull!

I started out making really good money, going door-to-door all day long, but then that started wearing off. I was selling Papa Johns cards, Pizza Hut cards, Taco Bell cards, 76ers tickets, Phantoms tickets, Victoria Jackson makeup, and a bunch of other crap. The payoff was usually $9-$10 per card and unless you sold a lot of them, you made next to nothing each day. I was spending more on gas than I was making. I had to drive my own car with 3-4 people each day, and usually it was down to Delaware and Maryland. They don't reimburse for gas and I wound up putting about 12,000 miles on my car in the 4 month period.

The owner is a complete a*hole who puts down anyone who quits stating, "They are worthless and are a waste of life. If you can't do this, you might as well kill yourself." Who says that?!?!! (Oh, and they referred to me in that same manner after I left) I know plenty of people who are very successful and do legitimate sales jobs at legitimate companies, NOT SOLICITING!!! They train you to be a solicitor... You know, those annoying people who come to your house or job trying to sell you "coupons". They make it look all glittery by promoting you to "Leader" and leading you to believe you are almost at the point of running your own company, and you basically don't stop soliciting until you have been running your own office for almost 5 years.

They sent me to Dallas, TX for a Leader's Conference which was a cult weekend with a bunch of other people in my position listening to the Cult Leaders talk. It's amazing how everyone came from such a hard childhood, some not even having a High School diploma and now they're all multi-millionaires with 20 cars, huge mansions, and dropping $10,000 a hand at the Black Jack tables in Atlantic City. I'd be a millionaire too if I was robbing my employees!!!

Bottom line: You spend 2 hours in an office teaching/learning new ways of selling (JONES Effect, FUGI Factors, Rehashing, etc) then you spend 8 hours in the field selling, and then you come back to the office to learn/teach a little more for at least another hour. I would get to work at 9am and would not get out until almost 11pm. What real job has hours like this??! And there were some day I would walk home having made $0.

This is a warning to everyone looking into these companies. Titan Marketing goes to businesses, 3W Marketing goes residential. They are Pyramid Schemes! The only positive aspect to this job was the friends I made and still talk to today.

I lost a lot of money, missed family events, and wasted the rest of my summer slaving for this company. These people are deceiving and live off of lies. Stay far away! If you really want to see how ridiculous they are, go on an interview and witness it for yourself, then come back and write a report so we can make everyone aware. If these companies were investigated by the government, they would probably be shut down for illegal solicitation and tax fraud. Beware!!!
