Bank Of America
Providing Misleading Information

I have been a bank of america customer for about 8 years and the experience have been ok until a couple of weeks ago. On 12/07. I contacted bank of america customer service line to request assistance with a transfer from my business checking account to my personnal. I was told that was not allow due to money laundering laws. I was fine with that. I was then advised by the bank of america customer service person that i could transfer the money from my credit card account. I needed that transfer to be posted immediately to avoid any overdraft fee. The customer service rep assure me that my funds were going to be available to cover my charges. I did the transfer online and everything seems to be ok. Then on monday. I was charged $ 490.00 in overdraft fee becuase the transfer i made online even though it said effective 12/07/07 it did not post to my account until 12/10/07. I called bank of america again and asked them why they charged me all those fees their response was that any transfer made from credit card would not post on the same day and gave me a cortesy refund of $98 that was the most they could do. I asked them again why they providing misleading information to their customer and they told me that those were the rules that they were sorry for my inconvenience and there was nothing else that can be done. I send an email and mailed a complaint letter to Bank of America corporate office in Charlotte, NC. I hope i receive a response although i dought.
