I recieved a leeter from them a while back. Was very skeptical because i have been had before. Back in november i faxed them the app. Back they called me and said the sent out my contract and i was approved. It took me a minute to send the $75 dollars to them. I was approved for 3500.00. I was so excited cause my credit is really bad. At this point i am behind in bills owe my boss lots of money. So i asked my friend to borrow the 75.00 from our boss and i would in return help her. She did. I dhl overnight to them ($21.20 more) on monday it wasnt delivered cause the company was closed but dhl reassured me it was due to bad weather. Oh thursday before i sent it i spoke to the manager steven who always called back and i asked for 4000.00 he said yes my payments would be 90.00 a month with acertain interest (please forgive me i dont remember) (also how i understood it they lent the money. And 3 weeks before all this i spoke to him told him i was trying and how soon after he recieved it would i recieve the money he said 10-14 days due to christmas mail. I said ok. So thats why i asked my friend to ask our boss. Cause i needed the money for christmas and to catch up on my bills. Work is slow. He promised he would hurry.) they recieved the papers on tuesday december 11th they recieved the papers i checked on dhl an d wednesday i called they were closed again thursday the same friday dec 14 he called and informed me he sent out the contract for the company that was funding my loan UNIVERSAL FINANCIAL and i asked when i got it could i fax it back to them cause as i stated before i need the money for christmas ands i was behind in bills he sound so convincing he said no they want to see your original signature but you can overnight it (yeah another 21.20 i didnt have.) and he said call monday if i didnt recieve he would fax the papers to me so i would have the money for christmas. When i got to my house check the mail i was so happy it was there i was ready to go to the post office and send it. Until i opened it a brand new contract for this universal financial p.O. Box 76152 highland heights kentucky 41076-0152 (as i relize typing the address now dhl does not overnight to po boxes and i am not sure for the post office but how often do they check this box.?) but the contract says they want a one time $55.00 for a membership fee and also says personal loansplease notice-there is no charge for processing association members' loans requests. Universal does not guarantee client will aquire a loan, nor do they pre approve or pre-qualify same. (which contradicts the contract from ics and when the mgr steven called me he never mentioned the $55 dollar fee or the not guarantee of loan.) i am very upset and also screwed for christmasd i have no money for christmas now. And the 21st of december is my last day of work till jan 3rd the same day my rent is due and considering i really and truley counted on this money my car my be repossed now. I was 2 and a half weeks late with my payment. Due to all this i will when i have the money be contacting a lawyer. I got really screwed bad. But 1cs will give me my 4,000.00 regardless. And if i lose my car maytbe a new car. But cant ever replace christmas for my 17 month old and my husbandthose looks will scar me for life.
