I was contacted by an employee of Capital First advising me i can have a credit card where I would have at least $5,000 credit and would not have to open a savings account in order to have it.
I agreed and gave them the necessary information. I was aware that $59.95 would be taken out of my account.
When the information was received at my home, I noticed everything they had told me was incorrect and a lie. I called the company and was told everything was cancelled.
I kept depositing my checks into my checking account, all my money kept disappearing. I then contacted my bank to see what was happening, i then noticed Capital First was taking out $59.95 & $99.95. This in turn made all my other checks bounce, adding a $32 overdraft fee.
I then sent a certified letter to capital first explaining the money their company had cost me and also had i had to close my account, order new checks, etc.
The letter i wrote was on 8/9/02. I truly expected them to make good of the money they lost me, but now that i see this on the internet I am so upset. Upset that this company is allowed to prey off innocent people. I was trying to establish credit and here this company put me in a hole.
I will do anything to get this company out of business before this happens to anyone else.
