Unprofessional, rude and a complete rip off corporation

I have been a customer of this abnoxious company for over 3 years. Like everyone we all have bad credit which is why we are dealing with this company in the first place. Over the course of the 3 years I have had the most unpleasant experience of them talking down to me and insulting me in conversations.

They have changed my due date with out notice, illegally debit my bank account and several harassing phone calls. They claim because they were not able to collect through the debit process that I now owe them for return bank fees. My bank account has been closed for almost a year which will prove I have not allowed or authorized them to debit my account and now I owe them return fees?

I fell behind on my payments. They called to tell me I either pay that day or they would repossess my vehicle. I told them I could pay them the double payment on the 31st. They told me that would not be acceptable. Then ask if I can even afford the car. I am sorry when did they become a financial planner. I informed the young girl who was more than unprofessional to allow me to speak to a supervisor. Oh this was not any more professional than the first person.

Immediately he gets on phone and tells me that he will only accept a payment today. Proceeds to discuss my account with them and I am in default of my deferrment, blah, blah. I then at the point lose my composure and inform this person he as not right to talk to me in his manor or badger me. He then tells me to stop talking over him. I of course at refuse and tell him this conversation goes one of two ways. Either you accept the offer or you don't. You want to pick up the car do what you feel you have to do.

Two days later I receive a call from their repossession department. The women informs me that I have to come up with half of what I owe to keep the car. I ask her if she can tell me just how many payments I have made on this vehicle, she responds with 30. So after 3 years I have paid 11,670 rough estimate on my car. I then ask her what I owe, little over 12,000 (not sure of exact quote). I then ask how much was my original loan, she tell me 16,000 close to 17,000. I inquire as to why my loan hasn't come down after 3 years. She uses a stern voice to tell me I have a simple interest loan with 18% compounded daily. She believes I should have known this and this is the first I have ever heard of it!

I tell her I have to discuss my options with someone because I am not only massively upside down I am double flipped. I get the money to this company last friday. They would not accept a visa payment on Western Union or Moneygram. I had to leave work to take care of this arrangement. I make my payment, call it in and was informed it is still out for repossession but she will hold it off for two weeks and I am to come up with the remaining payment. If they repossess the vehicle I would have 10 days to come up with the past due balance plus recovery fees. They could not give me the 10 days prior to repossession... Yeah that makes a whole lot of since. Okay we are set for the 31st as she rudely reminds me a payment is due again on the 20th and now I have to pay the entire balance due or it will still be repossessed!

I return to work this Monday morning with a phone call from this company again. Oh what a pleasant phone call. Not only is this harrassment as I have just made arrangements with them on Friday. Now she tell me I see you made payment but I must clear up the return check fees. I tell her amazing since all my payments have been made through Western Union. I have not written a check in almost a year. She argues with me that the check for September shows her it was returned and I owe the money.

I then proceed to tell her that I didn't mail a payment in September. I also tell her that I have discussed this on every phone call with a different CSR each and every time. My account is closed and impossible for there to be a debit transaction or a check! She becomes upset that I am yelling. I am at work so I assure I was not yelling, but was angry nonetheless. I asked her what happened to professionalism in her company.

She becomes angry and tells me I no longer have til the 31st I am to send the money in 48hrs! I told her I have already made arrangements and will get her the money on the 31st. I ask her if she is trying to throw around her power because she is voided the prior arrangement. Now I am to give her my address where the car is located. I ask her if our phone conversation is being recorded, she informs me yes. Good I respond. She ask me for my address and then tells me I am refusing to surrended the vehicle. I told her my address is in her files!

This company needs to be put out of business. They have been forced to file bankruptcy due to lack of nonpayment, yet they treat there entire customer base in this unprofessional manor. If I treated any of our clients like this I would not have a job. They perform too many illegal acts and I am looking into a lawyer.

If anyone has some advice, please give me some vital information. I have paid a ton of money to this company to be informed the majority has gone to interest. No I was not informed the type of loan I was given. No one I have any contact with has ever heard of such. I work in the financial industry myself so if it was such a common loan my company would be well aware of it.
