MPS Merchant Processing Services
Overcharged Thousands in fees, Admitted wrongdoing, Will not Refund!

This company does credit card processing for two of my businesses. We switched to them in 3/07 with the written promise of lower rates and a substantial monthly savings. After a few months my accountant noticed that we were being charged substantially more in undisclosed fees.instead of the 2% we were expecting we are actually being charged 4%.

I called the National Sales Manager Jarrid Barzee to explain the situation and he said that it was an error that was made when the accounts were set up. My first call to him was in June and I was promised a full refund of the overcharged amounts.

To date nothing has been done and my account is still being overcharged. The total amount I've lost is over $15000.00 for the two accounts. I have since switched back to my old processor and am now in the process of trying to getting my money back.

A friend of mine was working for them and that is why I signed up. Since then he has been ripped off by them too. They have failed to pay him and have also said they have no intentions of helping his clients that they screwed.

I have reported this to the BBB but they closed the case unresolved. Here is the response I got from MPS in my BBB complaint.

"We are in receipt of the merchant complaint notice from the BBB received here on 9/28/07. We have reviewed the merchants complaint and ordered a review of the account. Upon receipt of that review we will contact the merchant to resolve. Please assure the merchant that we are concerned about resolving the issue completely and will be contacting them in the near future."

That is the same runaround I've been getting for months from Mr. Jarrid Barzee and his boss Mr. Chris Del Grande.

These people are a total scam, I have gotten nothing but lies from them since the beginning. They tout their affiliation with Bank of America to earn peoples trust. A class action suit is the only way to stop this company from continuing its dishonest ways.

If you are a business owner and get approached by an MPS representative do not do business with them.
