Home assembly scam

Strangely before I volunteered myself to be a guinea pig for this company scam i didnt find a single page/website that indicate this company is nothing but a SCAM. I know for a fact that this company has classified ads up in many different newspapers!!! I was scammed and I learned it the hard way. I hope no one will buy or do any form of business with them.

I found their name on a newspaper classified ads that mention something like "get paid $1015 assemble toys at home... Toyunion.net" i had my worry when i saw how unprofessional the webpage look. Somehow i convinced myself that this is worth to try, so i did what they tell me to send $110 (now $115) which they said for registration and shipping fee for the toys. 9 days later i got this e-mail:

Thanks for joining World Wide

Your 1 step from getting started making money!

Now you must pay a deposit in order to receive your toys!

The $110 covers your registration fee and the shipping cost on your toys. You will have to place a refundable deposit on the amount of toys that you want these toys are not cheap that's why a refundable deposit is required. These die cast cars hold a retail value of $15-$50 a piece.

We give you up to 1 month to assemble the toys but it only takes 3-5 minutes to assemble each toy. This is a 1 time deposit; soon as we receive the toys completed you will receive your deposit back along with your paycheck.

Your order form is attached below please click on the order form attachment and decide how many toys that you want to assemble. Fax your deposit order form along with your blank check, soon as the check clears we will send your toys out along with all the prepaid postage shipping materials, we cover the shipping cost when you send the toys back.

End of mail&

I sent them deposit money for 600 toys which is $178.59, they stated that this is refundable. This is the insurance for all they toys they will send. I've waited and waited until now which almost took them a whole month since my first payment initiation, and they never did.

They took the $110 9 days after i sent them check by fax (this is not avail anymore, now is wire transfer only)
and also my $178.59 5 days after.
All checks cleared and no toys arrived. I tried e-mailing them and no response. Their phone line is automated.

I have found several victims from this scam, http://www.wahm.com/forum/forum_posts.Asp? TID=448973

Be very careful of scammers out there, do a research before you dive in on home businesses that wants you to deposit your money.
