Terrible billing practices and lousy customer service - especially from Walter Da Silva

I belong to Evolve fitness in framingham, with whom I have zero complaint except their involvement with KF Funds. Evolve itself is an excellent gym.

I have a monthly billing done for gym membership. It's done via KF Funds. I lost my credit card, got a new one, and then a month later got a statement from KF Funds saying my CC had been denied (with $15 charge fo that). Although billing happens the first of the month, I got this at the end of august. It was dated 8/20.

It was too late when I opened it to call customer service and it was a Friday, so they weren't likely to be open on the weekend. I went to their website and updated my billing info online, verifying that it had gone through.

On 9/20 I got another statement with CC denied and another $15 charge. Although I was annoyed that I probably missed some important window of time to update my CC # and therefore was stuck with getting 2 of these charges due to their sending these statements out so close to the end of the month, I was willing to pay the extra $15. But I wanted to call and make sure that the billing info that I saw on my account online was also what they were using.

I began to tell my story to Walter Da Silva who then interrupted me and said "You should have paid it right away"

I wasn't even asking for him to credit me the surcharge, I just wanted to update my info, but his attitude made me feel like I was being badly treated so I asked to speak to his supervisor. He claimed he had none and that the only person who was his boss was the engineer who owns the company and I couldn't talk directly to him.

In other words - this is a tiny fly by night operation with no real infrastructure. He continued to be rude and condescending and absolutely refused to let me talk to someone else, so I called my gym.

The gym told me other people had complained about him too and sure enough, this isn't the only ripoff report filed about KF Funds. Walter Da Silva is a really lousy customer service rep.
