I too was ripped off by A-1 Leasing. I asked them who the machine belonged to, if they are the financing company, and was told they pay the manufacturer for the unit and then we pay them back. I also asked if I could give the machine back to the manufacturer and was told no. I was told that I could transfer my lease to someone else. That did not seam fair to the other unsuspecting person, but I could do that if I found some poor sap to take it over. I would have to do the work to find someone. (I am not going to do that).
Also, I have seen where several have filed with the BBB, but the cases were all closed. The BBB site seams to read that the consumer (us) did not follow through with something and they closed the matter. For those of you that filed with the BBB you may want to look into that to see if there was follow up for you to do.
If there is anyone in CA that is having the same issue please let me know. I know the laws are different in every state, and I was wondering if anyone found a loop hole.
