Camie Horton Fraud/Ripoff/Lies BE WARE

We were forced into having SPS for a loan/mortgage company after Fairbanks went under. We were told that they were not Fairbanks, but a better company. Well, that is where the lies began. We had been trying to work out payments that we were behind from Fairbanks when SPS took over. At that time, Select began demanding all monies immediately. We originally fell behind because my husband had been laid off for a while.

Anyway, time went on. Not one of the three payments sent were even noted. We were told they NEVER received any payments from us. We had mailed money orders to them. When we called once again we were facing foreclosure. The attys had already sent letters. We were humiliated by the fact of this being in the newspapers. We were bogged down with "We can help you avoid foreclosures" slogans, and quite honestly, we were pushed up into a corner.

I finally spoke to Camie Horton, someone I though knew what she was doing. She had told me to get our home listed and on the real estate market immediately and fax over the listing agreement. She told me that would buy us 6 months so that the foreclosure would be postponed. Another lie being told by an awful mortgage company. I was told to put the loan number on each page and fax it to 1-801-293-3936. I followed these instructions and had the home listed in a desperate plee to have an opportunity to get out and avoid the foreclosure ruining the credit.

After faxing all said documents and listing the home accordingly, I called to confirm. I was then told that the foreclosure was not going to be postponed and to expect the home to be auctioned off anyway, unless I came up with a minimum of $40,000.00Obviously, this was impossible. We had requested a forebearance because we knew that it would not be feasible to come up with that kind of money.

The moral of this awful story is that we were told one thing, and, like Fairbanks and any of those awful mortgage companies we were screwed over. Now, with four chldren, I am looking for another home. With a foreclosure on the credit, however, we may never be able to get another mortgage again.
