I was looking online for a pay day loan to pay a doctor's bill and get medicine. At some point I filled out a form for a loan that apparently automatically "shared" my information with this USA Credit company. I had never heard of them and still don't know how they actually got hold of the information.
Today I found $149.95 has been taken out of my checking account. The number on my bank statement is a fax number which was no help. I found the supervisor's number (1-800-634-6730) on this site and called them. A supervisor named Cindy, said I filled out a three in one form and then proceeded to call off information about me. I told her I didn't care how they got the information, that I did not give them consent to remove money from my account and I wanted a refund. She said they would have to want until it posted to their company's account and then with 72 hours of that the money would be refunded.
I don't know if they were just getting rid of me or telling the truth. Anyway I will wait until the day after that 72 hours to see what happens. Meanwhile I have called my bank and had them place " stop order" on USA Credit taking anything else out of my account. I have to renew the "stop order" every six months. My bank was very helpful and is refunding the overdraft fee that this cost me. They also said that if I don't get the money back from USA Credit I can call the bank and their fraud dept. Will help me get it back.
