On August 1st of 2008 I signed up for a cash call loan. The loan was declined and I thought that was the end of the story. But today I discovered that imbedded somewhere in the application is a service contract for a company called Second Credit Advantage also showing on my bank statement as On Guard Credit ID. Without my knowledge or consent they went into my checking acount using my bank information that I provided on my Cash Call loan application and withdrew 29.95. I do remember seeing that if I got the loan there would be a charge of 29.95 a month but since the loan was denied I never dreamed that they would take money out of my checking account anyway.
When I called them they stated that they were a credit repair company. They would not privide me with any information. They would not let me speak to a supervisor. They stated that they had my authorization to take money from my account and could prove it since they had my IP address. They will not provide you with a correspondence address and state that they have no obligation to disclose any contact information for their company. All they were willing to give me was a fax number.
Thank God I bank with Golden One credit union. I contacted my bank who said that if the company could not provide proof of authorization that I would get a refund and they would block all future withdrawels by this company. I hope you will post this report and consumer beware. If you do have a company that is taking money from your checking acccount withouth authorization, first call the company and if you cant get resolution there go to your bank.
