I kept getting a robot call from "Card Services" which is a name for Orchard Bank credit card. It said I could press 9 if interested, 8 to be removed, but guess what?"8" is not a recognized response. So I try 9 and tell them "not interested, do not call me again, I am on the DONOTCALL registry. "I phoned and emailed them to stop the pestering unwanted solitictation, but it continued.
Same pitch for loan consolidation.
Their email and phone reply said allow 30days for removal, I may get more calls meanwhile, just tell them not interested (as if that would do any good).
Even after 30 days, I still got the calls.
Why should I have to "opt out" in the first place? A person should "opt in" if they want telemarketing calls, especially when on the DONOTCALL list. They are breaking the law using a machine to auto call people indisciminately.
The card charges a membership fee, not a great interest rate, and only gave me a $500 credit line. Two other cards gave me good lines, good interest, great service, no calls.
You may think you need Orchard Bank, but the best way to reestablish good credit is time and a car loan paid off.
