Option One Mortagage
Deceitful and incompetent

In 2006 my job went on strike for several months. I was almost three months behind when a sheriff's notice was posted on my door for forecloser. My jaw quickly hit the floor and I ran to call to option one. The stated the months owed and aslo an extra 1663.49 for laywer fees. I though it was some mistake and wanted to talk to someone immediatley. A few years back I was in the same predicament and that mortage company did not inlcude any fees for laywers to get me out of foreclosure. The customer service department said they were in the legal right to charge me the large fee and that I had to pay it right away or they would charge another $ 1663.49. Luckliy my parents were able to loan me the money. I federal expressed the check but forgot to put my loan number on it (I noticed that I did not write the number because I read over the carbon copy of the check). I called option one and the customer service agent could not help me and was disconnected twice. I was so angry that I had to call a third time. The representative me told that I would have to resend the check and cancel the first one because there was no way of tracing the parcel through their mail. I ran to my bank and they refused to cancel the check and they stated that the mortage company can indeed trace the check and to call federal express to see who signed for the mail. I got the name of the person of option one who signed for the mail. I called back option one customer service and demanded they look for that check. I finally found someone to help me and give me the right information to handle the matter. I took almost 2 1/2 hours but it was finally resolved.

In 2007 I had to get an emergency hystrorectomy and was off of work for 2 months within those months option one mortage company raised my payment too $1079.00 (Thats my whole check for 2 weeks). I called the company for asisstence but they said there was nothing they could do! I am divorced mother with five children and not recieving any child support. It is a constant struggle for me to pay the house note. I was laid off early for summer school and I"m currently two months behind. Again I called option one and was told to file a loan modification form. I quickly filled out the application and mailed it back as stated on the letter is came with. After 2 weeks I wanted to check the status of my letter and was told that no letter was ever recieved. The customer representive tried to transfer my call to loss and mitigation department was disconnected as usual. The next person I talked too told me to refill the application and then fax it in. I said that it was too much to send becasue it was 35 pages long why cant I mail it in. (I told him in the letter you could do that) He then told me that option one only can recieve faxes. He also told that the w'2 stubs were fine just to send then in and not all of the income tax documents. I said ok I will re do it. Later on I decided to talk to the supervisor. He said that the information was wrong and to send the tax documents in. I asked to speak to the person handling my case and was denied. I really feel that this company is trying to take advantage and foreclose on my home. Please help!
