Alas, I too have been scammed by Capital First... When I received my packet I called immediately and had my membership cancelled... I even called back to make sure that they canceled it and would not debit my bank account.
Lo and behold, this moring I called the bank and was short 99 and 59 dollars respectivly. I immediatly called and was given the run around about the refund policy and sending back my packet...
I cussed them out and ranted and raved... Eventually I asked to get copies of my taped converstions where it was never disclosed to me about the fees and that I would not be charged the above amounts, when I called to cancel.
Needless to say, I have received the run around... I have been trying to fax my PO receipt all day and to no avail... They do not answer or it is always busy. I have contacted my bank and told them that I did not authorize those payments and I will be taking testimonials from this web site to my bank to aid in their investigation.
I will get my money back and if anyone is interested in taking legal action, I am all for it... After reading the reports here, I have to wonder if there is any recourse of a class-action law suit... Write back if anyone wants to pursue this any further.
