Wells Fargo ripoff the business that doesn't give a dam false promises

I am writing again to follow up on a previous post of the troubles I've had with Wells Fargo Bank. I explained the situation before and am merely elaborating on the more recent troubles.

When I closed my old account due to fraudulent activity, I was transferred to a new one, along with all my money. I specifically told the phone banker "Jody" that I wanted to make sure that all checks up to number 550 would clear the new account, since those were the ones I still had out. I was told that would be done.

Today I received in the mail, letters from various companies stating that the checks were being returned NSF (though they weren't, they were all stamped LOST or STOLEN). The check numbers were below 550, so why didn't they clear? One was for my auto insurance and one was for a car payment! I ran to a branch store and talked with someone there.

Upon investigation (and might I add, the banker was getting frustrated with the run around she was receiving!) it was discovered that the "hard hold" placed on my account stated that I wanted to clear up to check 541. Yet, check 542 cleared my account. WHY? It was also discovered that there were three separate "hard holds" put on my account all with conflicting information.

No wonder nothing can get done, no one knows what they're supposed to be doing in the first place! In my opinion, the blame lies mostly with the "phone bankers" who, so far, have gotten everything wrong and later pretty much lied about it. And, lets not forget the criminal that lives at my old address (though she wouldn't have had this opportunity if someone had gotten things right in the first place)

Now who is stuck writing letters to these companies or spending countless hours on the phone? Me. Not anyone at Wells Fargo. Who will pay the "fees" associated with returned checks? I doubt Wells Fargo. I advise anyone to beware!
