I took out a loan with United Cash Loans. Aka Rio Resources back in Oct. When they tried to run their payment thru my bank, they said they were told the account was closed. My account is perfectly open and fine.
So I emailed them and asked them to email me back the mailing address so I could send them a money order for full payment. The loan I took ou was for $200.00 The last ammount showed I owed was $320.00 this was in December. A Mrs Robinson called me a coupla times and left a message that it was most urgent to save my good name and credit to call her immediatly.
I never could get them to answer the phone so I emailed them again. No responce came. So I said well if they want their money they will send me a letter. No letter ever came.
Now starting last week they call every night. Caller ID says name unavilable and the phone is listed as 000-000-0000. So I logged into United Cash Loans and got their 800 number and searched it and found all the bad comments across the net and horror stories about their fradulant activity.
They call every single night. The 1st time they called my 14 yr old daughter answered the phone. She asked who is calling and the guy started yelling at her she was just a kid, and to put your mom on the phone NOW! She told him to get lost.
Last night they called and I told the guy on the phone give me your mailing address and I will send you a money order. He said well don't you want to know how much you owe us 1st? I said I know how much your getting! Please give me an address, he said we don't have one. Really???

There are plenty of ways to find there address.
So I called a lawyer and he said if they refuse to give there mailing address DO NOT PAY THEM!!! He said IF you send them a money order DO NOT send the full amount, money orders mailed to these companies " tend to get lost".
I REFUSE to give them any further information about me. So if they want to report me I say GO FOR IT. I attempted to pay the debt more than 3 times. They refused to let me so I am not going to worry about it. I am also reporting them to the federal trade comission for the reason as follows:
The fair debt collection practices act.
A debt collector may not engage in any conduct the natural consequence of which is to harass, oppress, or abuse any person in connection with the collection of a debt. Without limiting the general application of the foregoing, the following conduct is a violation of this section:
(1) The use or threat of use of violence or other criminal means to harm the physical person, reputation, or property of any person.
(2) The use of obscene or profane language or language the natural consequence of which is to abuse the hearer or reader.
(3) The publication of a list of consumers who allegedly refuse to pay debts, except to a consumer reporting agency or to persons meeting the requirements of section 603 (f) or 604 (3) 1 of this Act.
(4) The advertisement for sale of any debt to coerce payment of the debt.
(5) Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the called number.
(6) Except as provided in section 804, the placement of telephone calls without meaningful disclosure of the caller's identity.
I hope this information helps someone. I have heard that they even threaten people. If they threaten you REPORT THEM!!!
