Misrepresentation/Fraud/Unfair/Deceptive Business Practices

My troubles actually started with the Seller during the Sales Transaction process but have continued with Americredit, the current lienholder of our Sales Contract.

To date, Americredit has made several misrepresentations related to payment options, causing me and my family emotional distress and economic damages.

For example, my payments were originally on the 17th of each month. On my first occasion of being late with my paymetn, I was told by a Representative of Americredit, that if I paid the past-due amount, that I could move my due date up until the 1st of the next month. I paid the past due amount, but when I attempted to move my due date as agreed upon, I was told my Account had to be "current." I explained that I had made an agreement with one of the Representatives, to no avail.

These types of misrepresentations not only increase the financial burden on consumers, more importantly, they completely delegitimize the Americredit's trade practices, decrease consumer confidence, which will eventually lead to increased economic destabilization for the public. Furthermore, these types of practices should be dealt with.

I was surprised to find so many complaints against Americredit. But it is good to know I am not alone. Something needs to be done about companies like this. I am willing to initiate and/or join a Class Action.
