Fifth Third Bank/Easter Michigan
Fifth Third Bank/Eastern Michigan Harrassing calls from loan dept. Starting at 8:00 A.M. And continuing all day, asking for payment on loan, I have already paid on, during my grace period!

Every month, starting three days before my grace period has even ended, Fifth Third Bank's loan department starts calling me at 8:00 a. M, and continues to call all day, sometimes 14 times a day.

The customer service representative's are rude, and even though I tell them I have already made the payment days before, DURING THE GRACE PERIOD, they continue to call for days at a time. I have notified my branch office, who were sympathetic, and said they took me off the call list, but told me there wasn't much they could do on their end because it was the Loan Dept. And I needed to contact them.

I called the 800 number they gave me, and the rep told me they had the right to call me at 8:00 A.M. I argued with the young man, that I was not late with my payment, I always pay during my grace period, and they have no right harrassing me at that time because I am on Social Security Disability, and I am very sick, and I have rights as a disabled person.

He was very rude, but promised to take me off the call list.

That was on a Saturday. They called me on Sunday morning at 8:00 A.M., all day Sunday. Monday was memorial day and the phone continued to ring and ring every 10 minutes.

I finally decided to call the phone number on my caller I. D, which had a recording saying the offices were closed due to the holiday! But they did not turn off their automatic dialer, so the phone continued to ring and ring all day, with no-one on the other end of the line, when I answered!

I am at my wit's end. I finally took my phone off the hook before I went to bed, to avoid their harrassing morning call, but really can't do this because I have my 90 year old mother that I care for, and would not want to miss an emergency call.

I am too ill to lose sleep, like I have since they have been harrassing me, and deserve, not only to be monetarily reimbursed, but would like to send them a message, that this type of practice is illegal, and they are not within their rights!

It would be helpful to know these representatives are paid $15.00 or more for each call they receive a payment for.
