Letter claims $32,572.97 debt that does not exist

Received a letter from Asset Acceptance notifying me of a $32,572.97 debt that does not exist. They offered to let me pay 1/2 and the debt would be forgiven. The letter does not contain the business the debt is owed to nor a date on which the debt was incurred. These people are, or should be on medication
