I wrote my contact with Quicken Loans around 7:15 am this morning. I asked that my process be stopped immediately and I would watch for a credit to my credit card or they could simply cut me a check, whichever was easiest. I did not like having to pay the money upfront. I thought that was strange because everyone else just adds it at closing, or several other companies I was talking with said if the appraisal doesn't come in as needed, I could stop then and they would refund my $350.00 for the appraisal.
I feel really sick about this whole thing. I have not heard one word from my contact about any of the things I addressed. I know he is quite upset, but I think I deserve an answer or acknowledgement that they got the letter. He was a fast-talker and I feel I was rushed through the process so that I didn't realize what was going on.
Anyway, maybe they will refund the $350, and if an appraisal isn't done they better or you will be hearing back from me.
