Well, it looks like I am one of many who Afni is trying to rip off. I just received a collections letter stating I owed $185.98 on a Verizon Wireless Account that I have never had. We are current Verizon Wireless customers, have been for years, and have ALWAYS paid our bills in full, on-time. This account isn't even in the right name - they have my Maiden name which I haven't used for 9 years.
I tried to call them and of course - NO ANSWER. I went to the webpage but in order to access it you have to enter your social security number (last 4 digits) and there is NO WAY I am going to do that.
I have read all the complaints and clearly there is something fraudulent going on with this company. I will take the advice of P.in Dallas and right a very detailed, very assertive letter to them and send it certified mail. I will also contact officials in Illinois and file a complaint.
This really makes me so angry that I have to waste my time with this crap.
