I have had my account since 2005 in august somewhere around there and in 2006 in march or april I finally got my first computer. Immediately I started to pay all my bills online with great success with the exception of one company BOA. Every month i would call them and tell them that they had not completed my registration so iI could hit the link pay my bill. This issue has never been resolved. Yesterday I cancelled my account. Two months ago i had to call them because they changed their website and i was not able to pay my bill using the mickey mouse way on their website. I voiced my concern about being late because i usually pay about 2 to 4 days before due date. They then told me to go to myeasypayment.com and pay there. That would put me ontime and they would finally correct problem. Last month I called spent 4 to 5 hours on the phone playing phone tag because no one wanted to solve my problem because now i was not able to access either website to pay my bills, it wasnt due then by the way, i was checking up on their progress. They had me change my userid so many times i forgot it, so when i went to pay my bill i was not able to even access my account info, fortunately they had a contingency plan, by plugging in your ss number and your acct number you could get your id. It said my info was not valid. Guess what now I am late with them. So i call BOA up and tell them my situation and they apologize and promise to help me and connect me to an account specialist, someone picked up the line and hungup. Had to call back, by the way thats usually the level of customer service i get, anyways so i give in a nutshell what has happened to me. She pointed out that the reason i could not get in with my account number is because it was changed. I said what you changed my number without telling me, you never notified me, I finally said if you will not remove the 31.99% interest rate and remove punitive charges and get me online again i am cancelling my account. Cancelling my account was the only time i received good swift customer service. Folks i checked this websuite when researching credit cards, BOA had page after page after page... Oif people warning not to do business with this company. Folks my account was in good standing, i had never missed a payment and up until midsummer had always paid my balance in full, this time pay attention this is what they do to customers in good standing, Folks pay attention if you are a new viewer and heed our advice regarding BOA, and i am hoping you can figure out what that advice is, when you see page after page after page to the point of being a book of complaints about a company, well they cant all be wrong, if you need a good bank to bank with try td banknorth, i had them when they were peoples and have so far received excellent service from them and i checked them out on this site and they had like 1 or 2 complaints, not bad huh. FOlks sometimes when business gets too big they forget who pays them they also do not want to claim any responsibility for what they do to us, but believe me they hold us to account not only for our mistakes but for theirs also. It is a shame in this day and age they forget who puts food on their tables, like we are cattle to them, folks its time that we take a stand with these companies and boycott them for poor management and customer service, because its going to get worse if we dont make our voices heard
