I recently asked credit bureaus to correct information on my credit reports regarding a mortgage I had with EMC. I sold my house and paid that mortgage off in December. I had asked the credit bureaus to correct late pays in 2004 falsely and erroneously reported by EMC.
EMC responded to the credit bureaus by saying that the house is currently in foreclosure as of Dec. How could a loan that was paid in full a year ago and have a zero balance go into foreclosure?
This is just another example of the malicious and false reporting that EMC engages in. It seems that if you challenge them on their credit reporting, they will retaliate with more damaging information being reported to the credit bureaus.
While I escaped their clutches and now have a new house with a normal mortgage company, I still am feeling the affects of my experience with EMC.
I think there is a procedure for filing a lawsuit against a company that systematically reports false or malicious information to the credit bureaus. If someone knows how to do this, please contact me. I am fed up with all the B.S. From EMC.
