I have been trying to pay off a loan being serviced by Litton Loan for over a month. My loan was transfered to Litton on the DAY that it was to be paid off. My funds have been sitting in escrow for 26 days so far waiting for Litton to provide an accurate payoff statement. First, they used the excuse that it takes them 10-15 business days before they have the account in their system and can provide a pay off. Then, they wasted another five days only to provide incomplete information.
Now the current excuse is that their "computer system" has been down for the last four days. I'm tired of the excuses. I've paid nearly $2000 in additional interest payments because they can't send an accurate statement within the legally defined time period.
