Homecomings Financial
Dishonest, sneaky, rude, false billing

I am glad to see I'm not the only one having the same type of problems with Homecomings Financial. I bought my house in Dec 05 and the loan was sold off before January of 06 to Homcomings Financial. Since that day I have had nothing but trouble and problems with them.

Shortly after I purchased my house I had a drastic job change and was doing all I could to make the payments each month. I then started going to school to take advantage of my MGIB to make it easier to make the monthly payments. Of course the phone calls were coming constantly but rarely ever getting messages from them. Each time I talk to them it is a different person even when I call the number given to me for my specific account representative. Many times they are rude people and I have even been hung up on once. As other people they never seem to update the records and note what you talk to them about.

At this point in time now I have entered into a repayment agreement. The monthly payments are extremely high and make it very difficult to survive. There has been multiple times when I have not been informed that my accounts were going into foreclosure and other times when they don't leave me enough time to even make arrangements to keep it from happening in the amount of time that is given. Now that I have seen other people are having the same problems I am begining to wonder if all of my payments have been correctly applied as well and what other charges have been placed on my account without my knowledge.

I have even talked to one of their credit counselors and tried to take his advise and use it but it as done nothing but get me in more financial troubles with them and other creditors.

Worst of all when I purchased the house I didn't know that as a veteran I could recive a special first time homebuyers program and have the possibility of 0% interest. But now that I am not a first time homebuyer that option is gone for good and I am now paying out the wazoo in interest that should have never been done. I am all for a suit against Homecomings for poor business practices and sleezy dealings and sneaky moves to try to force people out of their houses and into foreclosure. I decided to purchase a house because I was sick of throwing my money away on rent but now I'm just throwing it away on added fees and interest instead of being able to save it up.
