I recieved a collection letter from this company claiming that I owed Sprint from 2003. When I tried to tell them that this was not my account, they would always simply hang up on me. I asked for verification and they sent me copies of statments with nothing on them but an amount owed for each month. They even sent me statments for months after I had sold my house and moved! I had my phone disconnected when I moved and they claimed I was still there! I reported them to the MN Department of Commerce since they were claiming to be licensed in MN, well guess what? NOT! They lied! They are NOT licensed to do business in MN.
So, the state sends them a letter, and after awhile I get this nice letter stating the they purchased the account from Sprint, hence they don't need to be licensed to do business in MN, but out of the kindness of their hearts, they will close my account and not contact me anymore. What a bunch of hewy! They have the acccount reported to all the credit bureaus and I am now waiting to see what happens. So take note, if you feel like this company is not being honest, report them to your state's agency that regulates collection agencies. I'm glad I did!
