I had made a deposit in the ATM at my local Chase Bank. Before I deposited the money, I called the 1r-800 number to check my account balance. They had transactions pending, and it was already included in my available balance. I had a positive balance. The next day, I deposited the money into the ATM. It was over $100.00. The following day, when I looked at my acoount online, there was a -$108.00. I called Chase that morning and spoke to one of the reps and she told me the deposit I made through the ATM had to be made at a certain time
each day. She told me the cut-off time was 1:30 pm everyday, and that the deposit wouldn't have cleared until after midnight the day after. She said that there was a sign posted at the ATM stating when the cut off time was. I didn't see one She told me it's probably in small print. I told her they need to make
their signs bigger. I had talked to two different reps before, and they told me the funds you deposit through the ATM are available for use as soon as you make the deposit. They told me if you deposit over $231.00, the rest of the funds will be availabe to you the following night after midnight, but if you deposit less than $231.00 or less, the funds are a credit to you as soon as you make the deposit, therefore, you can use it right away. I was very upset and frustrated and told the rep
that I wanted to talk to a supervisor. She transferred me, and when I spoke to the supervisor, I told her that I'm very unhappy with their services and that everytime I talk to a rep, their always tellimg me different stories. I told her they need to get their stories straight. She apologized and told me she was going to refund the $108.00 back into my account. I
just want to let everyone know that you have to really watch your account balances each day, because somehow it seems they try to get as much money as they can behind your back, hoping you don't catch it. I always check my account daily, before I got to bed, and sometimes after midnight, to make sure I have enough funds in my account, so something like this won't happen.
So beware of chase!!!
