First Capital Consumers Group
Ripoff false promises

Sometime in November last year, I answered an ad on the internet. Do you want to rebuild your credit? Apply now for mastercard... Guaranteed approval, no turn downs, approved credit limit $5,000. I thought, "mmmm", I don't want to charge that much, but if I've already "been approved", I could shure use $1,500 to $2,000 to help promote a lightning video that took me 27 years to produce. Plus a "2nd chance" to rebuild my credit. So why not? Time passed, I heard nothing. Finally in February this year recieved a phone call from First Capital. This very friendly and "upbeat" female telemarketing voice asked "Did you apply for a mastercard on the internet?" I had to think back for a moment... I had forgot about it. I said "Yes", back in November. She then said "So you do want to rebuild your credit?" Right? I said "Yes", shure I'd like a2nd chance. She then said "you're approved for our Gold Package.""Do you have a computer?" I said "Yes", She said "Oh, that's too bad, because you're gonna receive a free one, plus a cell phone, plus a satellite system and some more free products & services. "Before she finished, I was thinking about the old saying that if sounds too good to be true it must be! So far that's the case! The next question was "do you have an income of at least $800 amonth and a valid checking account?"I said "Yes." Well, I need your account number so we can draft a "one-time fee" of $219.00This was the first and it will be the last time that I ever give my checking account to anyone over the phone! Never again! I figured that this was how they could afford to give me & other consumers a free computer, etc... I hesitated, but give it out. She then said "You'll receive your card 14 days after we draft your account, and we insist that you immediately take out $300n in cash as to activate the card & replace the one-time fee.""You must use the card in order to receive your products, etc... It will be sent to you within 7 to 14 days upon activation. "My bank account was drafted March 6th... Finally in mid April I called the customer service number. No one ever answers! Just a recorded "smart-ass female voice" with the attitude of "why are you calling us!" Go away! I thought then, "what's going on?"After many other attempts, NEVER AN ANSWER, I fianlly called the friendly telemarketing female back and she had someone call me. The woman who called, insisted that I hadn't waited long enough! I marked the days on the calendar since the bank draft. 28 days! She told me to give it another week, so I did... Nothing! I hate that this story is long, but since this is part of what I need to do to get my money back, I'm going to "tell it all!" This is a first, I've never done this before. I'll try to be brief! Finally after several more calls, No answer, no reply, and 34 days later, I receive this package of coupons that to me are basically worthless! They're legit, but will never be used! So, this is what I get for the $219.00!!! Oh boy! I'm excited! I knew then, I just got... You know the term! OK, I excepted it! In this package, is a website address for the computer deal... Guess what? I doesn't exist! Search engines found nothing! Plus "nothings free!" of course! In advertising, and marketing it's not "lying" it's called "hype!" So you are the "loser!"So far, nothing I was told has been true! Nothing! Sugar-coated "false promises!" Maybe their intentions were good, but the road to Hell is paved with "good intentions!"Even though I figured, "I've lost my money" and I'll probably never receive the card... I still wanted to give them a chance! (Unlike the banking system which is "ruthless" and they seem to enjoy "stepping on you when you fall!) No all of them, but most! Another month went by, it was now May. I decided to check-out the internet to see if I could find out some info about First Capital and "Bingo!" I see the word SCAM in big bold letters and other consumers upset! I still hadn't "give up!" I kept waiting... I read the report from a former employee, OK, I'll still "give them a chance to prove themselves!" Nothing! So finally in mid - June I seen where other people were getting there money back via the Usa Consumer Complaints.com... So like some others, I'm tired of waiting, so I'm taking action to get my money back! Whether First Capital Consumers Group will "deliver or not" I don't care anymore! I'll never do this again! Learned a lesson! LarryKnoxville, Tennessee
