Litton Loan Servicing
Litton Loan Serviceing force placed expensive insurance after causing my homeowners insurance co to drop me for non payment harrasing phone calls and letters on a monthly basis. Threatening foreclosure

Litton Loan Servicing bought our mortgage from Washington Mutual several years ago. After hurricane Charley in 2004 we were sent a cancellation notice by our homeowners insurance company for failure to pay premium.

The premiums were supposed to be paid through our escrow account by LLS. After many phone calls to both companies, it was clear that LLS failed to pay it on time. Liberty American reinstated us the following month. Again, LLS failed to pay the premium on time causing us to be cancelled for good. They sent us a letter telling us we had to find another insurer or they would find one for us.

Since we were in the middle of hurricane season, we were unable to find anyone to cover us. Litton force-placed us with very expensive mortgage insurance. Because we lost income due to hurricanes, we asked to skip Nov and Dec payment and make it up over the next few months. Litton had us sign a forbearance agreement with the adjusted payment due at the beginning of the month for the next 6 months.

We sent every single payment in before the due date. However, we were called every month and sent letters that we missed Nov and Dec payments and told we were late every month. We told them that according to my online banking statements, the payments were paid and posted before the due dates.

I have talked with many different reps and even a supervisor to no avail. We are now being told we have to pay $2,400 to bring our account current or go into forclosure in 45 days.

I have written to the Attorney General of Florida who tell me they will look into our case. I have registered my complaints with the FTC, and local TV stations. I need a lawyer, but finding one that will do pro bono is proving to be difficult. I have a family of 7 children all under the age of 17 and don't have the financial resources to hire a lawyer.
