Complaint / Review
Ameriquest, AMQ, AMC
Ripoff

Ameriquest, AMC, AMQ or whatever they wish to be called today is the leader, not of honest, decent loans, but of predatory lending. This company is still in business and it makes me wonder why. I know many branches have closed and their worthless employees have been canned due to their negligent, fraudulent and crooked business ethics.

I was not told, nor was it in the original contract, of a prepayment penalty. A contract that has not been tampered with as it has been in my hands since closing. I was not told by the lying, thieving reps of any type of penalty but of course they wouldn't disclose this information because then they wouldn't be making a killing of ripping people off. These same lowlife employees are mysteriously not working in the local office anymore. I guess they conned their quota of customers and needed to relocate to con more. Or, they were fired along with the rest of the scum.

I requested a payoff statement in August. I was amazed to see that my PENALTY was over $6,000. I recently requested another statement and guess what my payoff is almost $6,000. My so called penalty period will expire November 21. I researched this penalty on their website and it gave an explanation, a pitiful explanation that is, of this is the charge a customer will pay if they payoff their loan before a 3 year period. This is ANTICIPATED INTEREST they had expected to receive so if a customer is fed up with their *&*&, they will be charged to refinance with a reputable company.

I calculated the interest they would ANTICIPATE to get from me and it totaled $2,900, not the almost $6,000 they claim I would have to pay. This is just another example of how unethical and deceitful this company is. The laughable thing is the payoff is only approximately $2,900 less than what I originally financed for. And this is almost THREE YEARS LATER. Before anyone decides to tell me that, in any loan, you pay more in interest than to the principal, I know this.

I added all principal funds and overpayments plus a payment back in 2004 they received TWICE and an escrow check of almost $600 that they refuse to remove my ex's name from knowing full well I cannot cash and it totaled almost $8,000. My payoff is more than $3,000 less than what their inaccurate statement shows.

But, I am no longer surprised at anything this thieving company does. They have added hidden charges to my loan balance, charged me late fees I didn't deserve and have attempted to make my life miserable. This will not happen. No fraudulent company, such as Ameritheft, AMC or whatever is worth getting depressed about. The late fees accumulated during the period in 2004 when they CLAIMED they didn't receive my payment, which they did. I have since paid it again because they were ruining my credit.

This payment, along with the many other bogus fees and charges, has been submitted to my attorney and I fully expect to be reimbursed for their negligence. I now must be patient since it's a long, slow process to sue a large company who believes they have done nothing wrong. Yeah right. That's why there are so many class action suits against them and they have been forced to close many of their branches. I certainly feel no pain for the worthless bunch of employees who lost their jobs. To work for scum, you must be scum.

I look forward to reading the responses of my posting from idiots like Meglio, Samantha, Beth and many others who have posted their worthless comments on this site. The intelligent responses will come from people that have experienced the same crappy treatment as I have from this predatory lending company.

Ameriscum employees or ex-employees, don't respond because it will only make you sound like the lying, thieving, unintelligent, dim-witted, brainless crooks you are.
