Issues with autopay lead to negative credit reporting

M&I Bank's auto pay system just plain doesn't work!

I recieved a message that my payment was late in the begining of August. I called back and made the late payment and the current month's payment on the phone at that time. At the same time, I asked for autopay to be setup AGAIN. I then recieved another statement showing a payment due, which I paid.

A negative remark popped up on my credit showing June's payment (Due at the end of the month) being late. I have since pulled my bank statement.

I see a check dated June 25th processed on August 3rd. I also see the payment for two months that I made when notified that my payment was late, and an additional payment for another month. This makes for a total of FOUR payments in a two month period.

Their phone system says I owe a payment at the end of August, even though 4 payments have been already made between the end of June and the end of August. I still have not recieved a mailed statement showing any balance due for August.

I'm a real estate investor with nearly a two dozen mortgages on my credit, and no other negative remarks the last seven years.

M&I has been unwilling to do ANYTHING.
