National Credit Acceptance
Ripoff predatory and aggressive purchasers of bad debt

I appreciate finding some of the info. On this site regarding this company, NCA, National Credit Acceptance. They are not debt collectors, but, purchasers of "bad debt". They have a website that explains who they are and what they do. They own it. They may not have paid much for the debt, but, they want it all back and seem quite willing to sue to get it. They may or may not have the documentation to prove they are in fact the legal creditor. I did note one posting saying that after a debt is charged off the original interest does not apply, but, they sure try to. They are like a whole other animal than most creditors or debt collectors. Their website claims they are the wave of the future; firms that "own" the debt rather than collect it. Just think Guido and his friends down at the pool hall, but, using the legal system. A step up of course, but that level of collection intensity. Thus far their idea of settling is not too.

I would be interested in legal representation dealing with these guys. Currently, they have filed and been answered with the clock just started toward a case management conference. The alleged debt principal is around 2000 and the claim is around 4000. They are going for all they can and there is some room to pay an attorney whow maybe knows the ropes with these guys.

Are they really rip-offs? A lot of the other postings indicate that. I don't know yet. I sure as heck wish I had settled with the original creditor at this point.
