In 2001, my daughter was out of work and unable to pay for a car that I had co-signed for her. The car was repossessed, and I was faced with paying for the car. My bank account was debited $1488.11 as an offset for the loan. I paid off the outstanding balance of $9,969.92 to protect my credit rating. The repossession of the car, after I paid it off, is still on my credit report as of today.
Who looks after the consumer anymore? I saw where this has happened to others, or similar, on this web page. That is the reason for me sharing this with you.
