On November 29th I bought a 2002 Nissan Frontier from Green Lincoln Mercury Mazda in Springfield Illinois. When I left with the vehicle late that night I had done all of the paperwork, signed the documents, and traded in a very nice car for it! About 3 weeks later I recieved a call from them saying that for some reason Toyota Motor Credit denied my application, and that I needed to bring the truck back, so I did.
I arrived at the dealership, and they advised me that my car had went to auction, and that the only option I had was to sign a new set of papers. Feeling trapped, and having no transportation I reluctantly signed the papers, going from a payment in the $400 range to well over $500 a month with an almost 20% intrest rate. Keep in mind that my car only had a 5.75% Intrest rate!
They have now reposessed the vehicle because I was unable to pay for it due to the payment amount. I repeatedly called Toyota and told them to come and get the vehicle and they didnt, finaly one day I called and told them to come get it or I was having it towed to them and they finally showed up. Now they have marked my credit as INVOLUNTARY repo, when I was more than voluntiring it to the idiots! Please - steer clear of green lincoln mercury mazda in springfield il (the green family stores) and toyota financial services!!!
