In the middle to end of March I searched the internet for a company to consolidate my credit card bills..
I came across a company called Elima Debt and Immeditely gave them a call..
The Elima debt counseler asked me my creditors names and balances on the accounts, Once I gave him the information he quickly told me my payment for my four credit cards with a combined balance of $6,800 would be $113 per month.
He also told me there would be a one time payment of $212 which I agreed to. I I immeditely told him I thought that would be great and agreed to get on with the paper work to get me signed up pending the payment was going to be no more then $113per month. He assured me continualy the payment would be no higher so I told him I would go on with signing up. He then faxed me some paper work to sign which I did and faxed it back along with a blank check so they could draft the $212 out of my checking account. They drafted the account for $212. Once you are signed up then then turn you over to a company called client services.
Client services then draws up a final contract so then car begin deducting a monthly payment out of your account. When client services sent me my contract Via. Email it stated my payment would be $272 per month. More then double the $113 amount I was originaly quoted by Elima debt. I immeditely Called elima debt and they gave me the run around and told me there are only a referal company and could do nothing about it. I asked for a refund from the Managers Justin, he told me he could only refund 50% of my money. I was so irritated I agree to the 50 %.
I said fine and he said he would send the check right out.
A week went by and I never recieved anything. I called him back and he said he would call me in the morning to let me know the status of the check. That was a week ago and I have not heard from Elima debt or Justin since then.
Also I would like you to know, I did not just jump in head first with this company no knowing anything about them. I checked them out with the Better Business Bureau and they are a member.
I reported them to the BBB as well.
Beware! Anyone looking consolidate the unsecured debt with this company. Elima Debt Inc. Is by no means a way of Eliminating your debt.
