Costco credit co, HRS retail Services, recommends a payment mailing date that is eleven days prior to the payment due date, for first class mail sent and received within California.
Considering that first class mail sent to the east coast from California often arrives in three days or less, I suspect that HRS is sitting on my payments until after the due date and then charging the late fee.
One payment was "received" at 12:01 Am, one minute late, therefore justifying a "late fee"
Other bills mailed from the same Post Office in California, to the same general area as HRS' address in California, arrive in three days or less.
Yet when I mail my payments to HRS, 6 days before the payment due date, I am charged a late fee, as they seem unable to "receive" mail in less than seven days.
