Wachovia Bank ID Theft Wrong Debt Screwed Up Credit Report Charlotte NC
My husband and I bought a house in 2004. On his credit report was listed a "charge off" debt from Wachovia. He has never, ever had an account of any kind with Wachovia. He contacted them, jumped thru the firey hoop to get it removed from his credit report and thought the matter was resolved. We bought a house in January. Guess what is on his credit report again - this time with different credit reporting agency and was not on that one in 2004? When he contacted Wachovia again, he was given the run around and was told that they "destroyed all records" about this. He eventually got the bad info off his report but not without a lot of headache.
Wachovia is not consumer oriented and is dishonest to treat people this way.
