I with my mother present went to a Wachovia Bank in 2003 to close out the account as my checks were stolen and I reported it to Wachovia. They made us pay around $300.00 to close the account. I asked them why they were running these stolen checks through since I had no money in the account. And they said they had to. If your checks get stolen and it's with Wachovia don't expect to get your money back because if you report it they won't do anything about it. I requested them to investigate and they said they will but never did.
It's caused me problems that could've been avoided if Wachovia did their job right. But like I see on this website there are alot of people that are getting ripped off by Wachovia and also other banks.
