Hello there. I just received my second phone call from Merchants Credit Guide. I never heard of them until I asked for some information. They keep insisting that I need settle on a past debt that they can't prove that I ever had. They just keep on telling me that I need to settle on a 1908.06 past due with interest. And they want it now, over the phone. NO WAY.
Know your rights before they call. It works for me every time. I love it. I just like there phone calls. Before you settle any past bill, Get There Full Name, Company Name, There Web Site, Address, and There Phone Number, Proof that they are licensed to collect debts in what state, Provide a verification or copy of any judgment, the amount of the debt, and the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed. After you collected all this information ask them to mail you letter, never settle over the phone, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER settle over the phone, and Request Past Singed Application of the Contract from who they are collecting from. Oh, just one more thing. No matter how mean that they can be. Never come down to there level. Be nice. They love that.
