March 1st I sent my monthly mortgage payment by mail as I always do. On March the 16th I was looking at all the checks that have posted to my checking account online and I see that the check wasn't cashed so I call Aurora loan services and spoke to a man who's name I beleive is Steven and he assured me that the payment has been received. A week goes by and I receive a statement from them saying I will now have to pay a late fee in addition to my regular payment plus make my payment before April 1st 2006 or my credit report will recive a 30 day late mark so I make my payment plus the late fee on their website, so on April 3rd I check my bank account online and dont see the payment posted to my bank account so I call them again and Barbara tells me the payment did not post because I gave them the wrong account number even though I have paid my mortgage with the same exact checking account for the past six months with no problems, Barbara then put me on hold for 5 minutes she comes back and tells me I will have to send my payment for March and April plus a return check fee and a late fee so I ask to speak to her supervisor and she says I just talked to my supervisor and she said it's not our problem if you gave us the wrong account number, I said I want to speak to your supervisor now and she told me I dont have to put up with you yelling at me and she kept rudely arguing with me until I told her I am going to fill out a complaint on their website on her for being so rude and not getting a supervisor so she put me on hold and I waited couple minutes then a woman by the name of melissa got on the phone and was almost as rude, so I stated the facts and she said send your payment with delivery confirmation so I had something as proof.
It ended up with me having to pay all the extra fees and make the payment by phone.
I have never had a problem at all with other mortgage companies and would suggest refinancing to another mortgage company as I am in the process of if youre mortgage company is Aurora Loan services.
