My husband and I brought this home in Oct. 2005 and when we signed the papers we was told that there was a good chance our mortgage would be sold. Which the mortgage company sold our loan to ASC in 5 months. These people had to hold our check for the mortgage payment until after the grace period. We have until the 16th of each month to get it in. I mail the payment to them in plenty of time each month. There has only been one month that I was actually late with the payment and I paid the late fee along with the payment. But there are late charges on my payment coupon. Even if they run it through our bank on the 16th (which is not considered late) they still charge us a late fee. I REFUSED to pay this. I can't get anyone to answer the phones so I wrote a letter with my payment stating that I DO NOT have any late fees due to I send the payment out way before the late charges accure and I Will Not pay it. So they keep adding it on the payment every month and all I send them is the actual mortgage payment that we have. I told these people what happens to it after I mail it is beyond my control and what they do with it when it gets in their office is not my problem. To me I think they hold it in their office just to make money. There has to be something that every one can do about this company. I am even considering contacting the attorney general here in my state of Kentuck.
