Complaint / Review
Capital Financial
Ripoff

I was contacted a couple of months ago by a gentlement who worked for Capital Financial. He told me that I was approved in their system for a credit card with a limit of $2000. I only had to give $200 as a deposit, but I would get four $50 vouchers to use to make payments. I repeatedly asked him if it was a visa that I could use at the grocery store or to get gas. He kept answering yes it is. He even told me "When you get your card, go to the store and purchase a $200 radio and pay it off with your vouchers." I told him I have 4 children, and I would not go to the store to purchase a radio that costs $200. I have to be really careful with my money.

They took the $200 out of my account. When I finally received my card I was very upset to find out that it is for catalog orders only. I can't use it for groceries or for gas when I am running short on cash. They took my money and then told me it was non-refundable. I called them first thing on Monday morning when there answering machine said they were suppose to be open. And surprise, surprise they were not open. I kept calling until I got an answer. After being hung up on 3 times I finally talked with a manager at the customer service. She treated me like I was lying and told me I had to write a letter to the DCD in Largo, Florida. She said they would review the telephone conversation and it would be up to them on whether or not I got my money back. She was gracious enough to not charge me the $35 concellation fee.

If this is the only way this company can make money, I feel very sorry for them. They have to deceive hard working people like me, who is the mother of 4 children ages 7 months to 6 years old, out of my hard working money. They just lied to me a took money out of my childrens mouth. I now have to wait to see if they will even refund me my money.
