Ripoff, credit card consumer rip-off fraud

I applied for a secured credit through Capital One, which I have to submit a savings deposit so I may start to restore my credit.

My wife got a call from First Credit Consumer, advising me I was approved for $2,500, I was at work so I wasn't thinking straight, so I just figured wow that is a lot more than my deposit.

My wife said she gave them our checking account number and they will call me. I said Fine.

Busy with clients and phone calls, a lady called to ask when should they debit my account for $199, I said you can do it today, she said thank you, and gave me a phone #416-363-3320 if I have any questions.

After hanging up with her and got a chance to relaxed a bit. I started thinking, I mailed a deposit check to Capital One, why do they need to debit my account again.

So I called the number, and it was just a busy signal. Tried 10X, still the same. I went on the web and typed in Capital One, they have a totally different number and it's an 800 number. Then I saw this ripoff site about First Capital, my heart skipped a beat and lost my breath for a second.

Tried calling my bank, when another call came in from First Capital Consumer to confirm my authorization, I just told them no, I was not interested.

They call again 30 minutes later and asked why, told them I'm interested in Capital One not First Capital.

I just hope this will stop them from taking the money. Like they say, if it's too good to be true, it might be, so think about it first, why is this such a good deal.
