Over 3 years ago I purchased AT&T wireless service and was covered by a "military Clause". Atleast I was supposed to be! The clause was if active duty military got official orders to move, the contract would end upon notice to AT&T provided a copy of the orders was supplied.
I faxed them my orders, and thought they would abide by the contract. NOPE! Had to fax orders again. Went about my business for the next year or so. Got a letter from a collection (not Palisades) agency demanding payment. I wrote them and included a copy of the clause, name of person my orders were faxed to and the date/time, denied owing any money - never heard from them again.
I just pulled a copy of my credit reports. Now it is showing that I owe this money with a dote opened account August collection date as of March.incorrect reporting, won't correct it. Ohh, all 3 major credit reporting agencies have "Verified" this info. Maybe a lawsuit here - against all of them?
